INTERESTS AND TASTES. WHAT WE WANT, DO AND HOW WE ARE

Interests and tastes are the impulse to seek resources that provide nourishment and satisfaction. What we want determines what we do because of how we are according to economic possibilities and the environment of action with its characteristics.                                                                                              Individual consciousness, the survival instinct and self esteem push from within to find outside the conditions that provide the desired nutrients. The quantity and quality will indicate what and how according to the evolutionary level, refinement, personal function and cultural influences. Each one is unique in their peculiarities, and thus interests and tastes depend on multiple factors that may coincide with some and diverge with others. The important thing is that interests and tastes, apart from covering personal demands and desires, point to questions that reinforce spiritual concerns that broaden the perspective to provide efforts and purposes with contend beyond pure subsistence.                                    How we are in essence determines what we want and what we do. Therefore, it is essential to know what we want, because the subsequence consequences that can be constructive or destructive depend on it.      What percentage of the population is known in depth to clearly elucidate where the pretensions have been forged and if they are relevant ? Mostly disconnected from the inner center, dazzled by worldly offerings, interests and tastes often harm more than they benefit. Finding the balance between the necessary and the dispensable, what is convenient, and what we must leave behind, is a constant daily task that requires knowledge, equanimity, and the ability to measure correctly. We are what we do and want, and the result is the clearest exponent. Tipping the scales towards what is beneficial or harmful is the challenge that test us
